Hi, I took COSC427 back in 2004 (I think). I'm going to lurk and see what tricks I can pinch off everybody here.
There's lots of work available for Java developers in Wellington and Auckland at the moment. Employers love seeing COSC427 on our CVs, and they love seeing our code on the web so put your 427 project on the web and link to it from your CV.
