Alan Kay

Alan Kay is famous for his work on object-oriented programming and graphical user interfaces. He is today seen as one of the fathers of object-oriented programming and also came up with the concept of a laptop.

Alan Kay joined Xerox Corporation's Palo Alto Research Center (Xerox PARC) in 1970 and worked on developing Smalltalk, networked workstations, the first laptop and graphical user interfaces.

Alan Kay is currently an adjunct professor of computer science at the University of California, Los Angeles.
