Lastly he ensures the ''''network' drop-down is set to 'Flat'''' and hits 'create'. Now the tasks will be added to those present in the network (thus visible by his flatmates), and to '''Joe's own ToDo list'''.

Joe sees the state the kitchen is in in the morning, but has no time to clean up because he has to get to a 9 o'clock lecture. He does have time though to add some tasks to his ToDo list. He goes to his PC and presses the hotkey to bring up the 'add ToDo item' form. He adds the three titles (semi-colon separated) and himself as the assigned user (but he also leaves the option available for other people to complete the task). He sets the deadline date for midday Wednesday, because his parents are dropping by that afternoon. he sets the amount of points for washing the dishes and mopping the floor to the amount of minutes he thinks they will take to complete, and sets the points for taking the rubbish out as a little higher because the flat's rubbish bin sometimes falls apart while it is being carried, making the task a little bit hazardous. Lastly he ensures the 'network' drop-down is set to 'Flat' and hits 'create'. Now the tasks will be added to those present in the network (thus visible by his flatmates), and to Joe's own ToDo list.

Take aways

  • There are people.
  • People have a ToDo list.
  • Networks contain people.
  • Tasks can be assigned to people.
  • People get points for completing tasks.
  • People can complete tasks on their ToDo list.
  • Tasks have a date by which they must be completed.
  • Tasks are assigned to (or confined to) certain networks.
  • Some tasks can be completed by users that the tasks isn't assigned (but they should probably be in the network that the task was assigned to).
